Emory Healthcare in Duluth, GA seeks a Certified Hand Specialist (part-time) to provide occupational hand therapy services.Responsibilities include evaluation, planning, treatment, re-evaluation, and discharge while coordinating with physicians and facilities to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires HTCC hand therapy certification, an AOTA-accredited OT degree, licensure, CPR/BLS, and at least two years in hand therapy or adult rehab with splinting experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program.
• HTCC hand therapy certification required.
• National registration and state licensure as applicable.
• Minimum 2 years experience in custom splinting pre/post-op orthopedic preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred.
• CPR and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with occupational hand therapy needs.
• Supervise assistants and aides; contribute to case management.
• Develop objectives and plans of care in accordance with AOTA standards.
• Communicate with physicians, facilities, payers, and staff.
• Fabricate splints/casts to meet complex diagnoses.
• Document evaluations and progress timely and accurately.
