Job summary

Select Medical's Trinity, FL per diem Occupational Therapy Assistant – Hand Therapy role is seeking an OTA to support our established hand therapy program in a outpatient setting. Per diem coverage, As needed schedule, and $35/hr pay rate.

You will work under the supervision of licensed OTs to treat upper-extremity conditions, collaborate with a regional team for best practices, and participate in ongoing education in a nationwide hand therapy network.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an ACOTA accredited occupational therapy assistant (OTA) program.
• National registration and state COTA licensure or registration REQUIRED
• Must have 1 year current working experience with hand therapy patients. In lieu of experience, new grad COTAs with fieldwork in hand therapy with Select Medical would be eligible.
• CPR certification
• Valid state driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care services.
• Observe, note, and report on the progress of long and short-term treatment goals
• Ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
