Job summary

Marian Regional Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.

You will assess diverse patients, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams while documenting thoroughly and providing motivating care to a high volume of patients.

Two years or more of experience, CA license on hire, and BLS-CPR within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• CA license for Occupational Therapist upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS-CPR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to obtain data for treatment planning and implementation.
• Develop treatment plans with goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
• Coordinate treatment plans with patients, family, and care team.

Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.

• Responds to requests for service and initiates referrals when appropriate. Following screening to determine need for intervention.
• Assesses patients/residents to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation per physician's orders.
• Interprets evaluation findings to patients/residents, family, significant others and care team.
• Develops treatment plans, including goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
• Coordinates treatment plans with patients/residents, family, significant others and care team.
• Implements treatment directly or supervises treatment by a certified Occupational Therapy assistant and/or an Occupational Therapy aide.
