Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, California, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life. You will assess diverse cases, develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

The position requires CA OT licensure and 2+ years of experience; BLS-CPR; strong organization and motivational skills; and ability to work with high patient volumes in a nonprofit hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• CA OT licensure upon hire.
• American Heart Association BLS-CPR within 30 days.

• Assesses patients/residents to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation per physician's orders.
• Interprets evaluation findings to patients/residents, family, significant others and care team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities. Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients. To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.

• Responds to requests for service and initiates referrals when appropriate. Following screening to determine need for intervention.


• Assesses patients/residents to obtain and interpret data necessary for treatment planning and implementation per physician's orders.
