Job summary

Dignity Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton, CA is seeking an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life by conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to serve a high volume of patients.

You will collect data, implement and adjust therapy programs, document thoroughly, and provide education to patients and families while respecting cultural factors and safety in daily activities.

Qualifications

• OT degree/diploma required at hire.
• CA OT license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Record referrals and document care in medical records.
• Incorporate cultural and ethnic factors into care.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities. Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, conduct evaluations and re-evaluations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.

• Gathers pertinent data in evaluating patients and performs standardized tests and evaluations.
• Records referrals using logs, therapy boards, etc.
• Develops, implements, and modifies appropriate treatment programs to achieve identified goals.
• Incorporates cultural and ethnic factors into care.
• Provides and documents patient and family education.
• Collaborates and reports effectively at team conferences.

Job Requirements

• Diploma Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program, upon hire.
• CA Occupational Therapist license.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Pay Range

$49.78 - $74.05 per hour
