Job summary

Fairfield Chair is seeking an experienced sander for the Plant 2 Upholstery Plant in Lenoir, NC. The role focuses on sanding whitewood frames to erase roughness and prepare for finishing, with emphasis on carved detail.

The ideal candidate will have experience with jitterbug, hand, or flutter sanders and the ability to work with precision on framed pieces in a climate-controlled production environment.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to learn quickly and recognize parts.
• Understand correct placement of parts, right/left sides, front/back.
• English required for reading tickets and instructions.
• Must be able to setup materials in pots.
• Must be able to understand and follow a finish specification for quality oriented cuts and use of correct materials.

Job Location: Plant 2 Upholstery Plant - Lenoir, NC 28645 Position Type: Full Time This position requires an individual with experience in sanding frames using a jitterbug sander, hand sander, and/or flutter sander to smooth all areas of frame, paying close attention to carved detail.

Fairfield Chair is seeking an experienced sander who can effectively sand whitewood frames to erase all roughness to prepare for the finishing process. This position requires an individual with experience in sanding frames using a jitterbug sander, hand sander, and/or flutter sander to smooth all areas of frame, paying close attention to carved detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have ability to learn quickly and recognize parts.
• Understand correct placement of parts, right / left sides, front / back.
• English required for reading tickets and instructions.
• Must be able to setup materials in pots.
• Must be able to understand and follow a finish specification for quality oriented cuts and use of correct materials.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending for an 8-hour shift

• Move products from upholstery locations to finished products

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching
• Lifting of up to 50 pounds
