Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in the Greater Cleveland area is seeking a Hand Press Operator for 1st shift with a sign-on bonus. Training is provided, and the role emphasizes accurate setup, operation, and inspection of press equipment to meet process specifications.

The candidate should have strong math skills, be mechanically inclined, and able to lift up to 50lbs. Location is Middleburg Heights, OH with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
• Math skills – ability to complete basic calculations e.g. converting fractions to decimals.
• Knowledge of measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc. required.
• Experience in manufacturing setting is strongly desired

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain equipment used in the production of the company’s product to carry out manufacturing processes.
• Follow instructions from process sheets or supervisor to perform production tasks.
• Verify quality of product at the required intervals and verify accuracy of all work.
• May be responsible for in‑process inspections.
• Check and inspect operation results against predetermined tolerances

Hand Press Operator, 1st shift **SIGN-ON BONUS**

This role will provide full training. Successful candidates will be looking for a hands‑on role, have strong math skills, and are mechanically inclined.

Once trained you will set up and operate a wide variety of automatic or semi‑automatic machines used in the production of our products. You will work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks.

Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area)

Salary/hourly rate: $20.00 - $22.80

Hours: 1st shift: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Your Challenge:

• Accurately following and interpreting instructions, procedures and drawings.
• Setting‑up, operating and maintaining equipment used in the production of the company’s product in order to carry out manufacturing processes.
