Job summary

Aerotek in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Hand Polisher to assist in loading and unloading granite countertops and to shape edges with an electric hand grinder. The role requires safe, precise work in a fast-paced shop and is fully onsite in Harrisburg.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed, finish surfaces before shipment, and contribute to a busy production environment with opportunities for advancement into supervisory roles.

Job Title: Hand Polisher

Join our dynamic team as a Hand Polisher where you will be instrumental in the loading and unloading of granite countertops. You will use an electric hand grinder to shape and smooth the edges of countertops, preparing them for shipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the loading and unloading of granite countertops.


• Utilize an electric hand grinder to shape and refine countertop edges.


• Ensure the final touches on countertops before shipping.


• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as necessary.


• Maintain a focus on safety while working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and general labor.


• Ability to use a hand grinder/sander effectively.


• Capability to lift 50-75 pounds and perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and stretching.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is preferred.


• Prior hand polishing experience is desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
