Job summary

Orthopaedic Associates of Maine is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join the Hand Department in Portland, ME. The position consists of 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) with a hand-focused remit and some exposure to general orthopaedics.

The role is 70% clinical and 30% operative, with call responsibilities approximately 1:8 and call taken from home. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities

• In clinic, see new, follow-up, pre-op and post-op patients with graduated responsibility under physician supervision.
• Assist in the operating room preparing patients and directly assisting the surgeon during procedures at our surgery center and local hospitals.
• Occasional on-call and off-hours coverage required, including answering patient calls and assisting with urgent surgeries.
• Rounding and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality healthcare.
