Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics is seeking an Occupational Therapist to coordinate outpatient OT services, evaluating patients, planning treatments, and educating on adaptive equipment. The role involves documenting progress, adjusting plans, and ensuring HIPAA compliance within a busy orthopaedic clinic.

The OT will provide direct patient care, perform examinations, and collaborate with physicians to determine optimal treatment strategies and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience, preferably in an orthopedic clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention.
• Review physician's referral and patient records to determine required OT treatment.
• Instruct patients on adaptive equipment use and home programs to restore function and mobility.
• Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to relieve pain and improve strength.
• Set goals, plan reevaluation, and document progress and prognosis.
• Discharge patients when goals are met and arrange follow-up care or referrals.
