Job summary

The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine is seeking a full time Hand and microvascular surgeon to join its academic faculty. All ranks will be considered.

The faculty member will have the opportunity to teach residents, engage in research, and participate in clinical program development. Specific area of focus will primarily be Hand Surgery, but micro-breast reconstruction, lymphedema surgery, oncologic and traumatic reconstruction, and an aesthetic

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Hand Fellowship with eligibility for the Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the Hand (SOTH).
• ABPS board certification or in the process of certification is required.
• Strong research and teaching activities are expected and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach residents and medical students as part of an academic faculty.
• Engage in clinical program development and participate in departmental research.
• Develop and maintain high-quality patient care in hand and microvascular surgery.
• Collaborate with other divisions for multidisciplinary care.
