Job summary

Hudson Regional Hospital in Bayonne, NJ is seeking a Security Officer (Half Time) to protect patients, staff and visitors while delivering a high standard of courtesy and professionalism. You will monitor access, patrol the facility, assist with emergencies, and coordinate with local police and fire departments as needed.

Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and have 2 years of relevant experience; SORA license and BLS certification are a plus.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
2 years of relevant experience (preferred) in security or guest services.

Responsibilities

Serves as the first point of contact, warmly greeting and assisting patients, guests, and staff with courtesy and professionalism.
Monitors visitor conduct to ensure a safe, welcoming environment; stops and questions unauthorized individuals as needed.
Controls access to all internal facility areas and exterior parking lots.
Conducts regular foot patrols; prevents and detects fire, theft, vandalism, and trespassing.
Assists medical staff in safely restraining patients when necessary.
Completes accurate written documentation, including daily activity logs, incident reports, and safety investigations.
Remains available to provide shift coverage for emergencies and overtime.
