Job summary

The apprenticeship program is full until summer 2026.

The Ginger & Maude ® apprenticeship program is for hairstylists who have already completed cosmetology school and have an Oregon Hair Design license. The apprenticeship program is a 9- to 12-month, hands‑on path that develops new hairstylists into confident, all‑type professionals through staged training, live‑model practice, and a progression from apprentice to full‑time New Talent hairstylist. As well as offering a fast, tailored proficiency track for new hires who are experienced Stylists.

Stylist

Ginger & Maude ® Hair Salon is hiring an experienced stylist for multiple salon locations within the City of Portland.

The Stylist must have an Oregon Hair Design license, have completed extensive training programs after graduation, and have had at least two years of behind‑the‑chair experience. Stylists must be willing to be trained and deliver service for tightly coiled and curly hair.

All Stylists must complete a paid training program with our Educational Director before working behind the chair. The training program takes a minimum of two weeks. Completion time is dependent on the Stylist’s skill and speed.

Full‑time Shift Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Work Locations: Each Stylist must work at multiple Ginger & Maude Hair Salons within the City of Portland.
