About the Role

As a Department Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Profit goals in the store by executing a plan to deliver the Best Customer Experience in the department and overall store. The Department Supervisor will work in accordance with legal requirements and H&M standards, policies, and procedures to meet the expectations of customers and colleagues.

A Day in the Life

Working at H&M means no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  1. Customer Sales & Profit
  2. Support the total OMNI customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial presentation according to guidelines.
  3. Represent the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
  4. Identify commercial opportunities and collaborate with your Department Manager.
  5. Ensure excellent customer service and promote products and loyalty programs.
  6. Manage fitting room and checkout routines, including transactions and returns.
  7. Handle administrative routines accurately for both people and operations.

Fashion & Trend Awareness

  • Stay updated on fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers.
  • Provide product and fashion knowledge to your team during customer interactions.

Team & Development

  • Share knowledge and skills with the team.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandisers.
  • Give and receive feedback to support development.
  • Communicate regularly to motivate and inform colleagues.
  • Ensure procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed.

Retail Operations/ Visual & Commercial Execution

  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and stockroom.
  • Ensure high-quality visual and product presentation.
  • Manage stock levels and provide input on allocation.
  • Oversee the full garment cycle and fitting routines.
  • Utilize in-store tech tools and services effectively.
  • Maintain consistent pricing and signage.
  • Keep BOH areas updated and organized.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the store daily.

Additional Information

Compensation: $22.42 - $26.46 hourly
EEOC Code: SLS
Pay Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
