Lvi-Associates invites applications for an experienced Hydrology & Hydraulics Project Manager in Houston. You will lead water resources projects across Texas, own technical delivery, mentor junior staff, and engage both public and private clients on flood risk, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure.

Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree, 8+ years in water resources, HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS experience, and a TX PE or eligibility.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in water resources engineering, hydrology, and hydraulics.
  • PE license in Texas or eligible through reciprocity.
  • Strong experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and drainage analysis.

  • Manage H&H and water resources projects from planning through design and delivery.
  • Lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM.
  • Oversee floodplain analyses, drainage studies, watershed evaluations, and plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Review reports, calculations, and drawings; mentor junior staff.
  • Support business development and client relationship management.

H&H Project Manager (PR/609041) Houston, Texas

Salary: USD120000 - USD160000 per annum

We are partnering with a growing civil engineering consulting firm in Houston seeking an experienced Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Project Manager to lead a variety of water resources projects across Texas. This is an opportunity to take ownership of technical project delivery, mentor junior staff, and work directly with public and private sector clients on flood risk, drainage, and stormwater infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage H&H and water resources projects from planning through design and delivery.
  • Lead hydrologic and hydraulic modeling efforts using tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, and related software.
  • Oversee floodplain analyses, drainage studies, watershed evaluations, and stormwater master plans.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
  • Review engineering reports, calculations, plans, and specifications.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Assist with business development, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • 8+ years of experience in water resources engineering, hydrology, and hydraulics.
  • Strong experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and drainage/floodplain analysis.
  • Familiarity with FEMA studies, stormwater management, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Proven project management and client-facing experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience managing projects for municipalities, counties, drainage districts, and transportation agencies.
  • Knowledge of Texas drainage criteria and regulatory requirements.
  • Business development and proposal-writing experience.
  • Experience mentoring and leading engineering teams.
