South Sunflower County Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team in Mississippi. You will escort patients, take vital signs, document health history, and assist with gynecological and prenatal examinations.

The role emphasizes patient care, accuracy, and efficient clinic flow. Ideal candidates have OB/GYN or prenatal care experience, proficiency with EMR and scheduling software, and strong communication skills.

Competenze

High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of medical field experience preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within designated timeframe.
Outpatient clinic experience preferred, especially OB/GYN or prenatal care.
Experience with EMR systems and basic computer applications preferred.
Knowledge of prenatal and women’s health terminology and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional and compassionate demeanor.

Mansioni

Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain vital signs.
Perform patient intake and document health history, medications, allergies, and visit reasons.
Assist providers with gynecological and prenatal exams.
Prepare patients for pelvic exams, Pap smears, and related procedures.
Collect laboratory specimens following clinic protocols.
Maintain EMR and manage scheduling, referrals, and follow-up visits.
Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments; ensure equipment readiness.
Monitor patients during and after procedures and assist as needed.
