Qualifications

• Graduate of an A.R.C. approved Physician Assistant Program.
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and/or higher degree from a program recognized by the state Licensing Board.

Responsibilities

• Conducts thorough medical histories and physical examinations; initiates labs and tests as needed; develops working diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Performs and interprets routine and specialized procedures credentialed by medical committees.
• Prescribes and monitors medications as allowed by license; educates patients and families.
• Participates in medical rounds and coordinates care with nursing and other health team members.
• Ensures continuity of care and facilitates discharge planning and regulatory compliance.
