Job summary

University Health San Antonio is seeking a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to join the Gynecologic Oncology team. The role offers collaboration with experienced specialists and a broad cancer care continuum, including clinic, inpatient, and infusion settings.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment and communication skills, with oncology or gynecologic oncology experience preferred. Motivated clinicians with interest in oncology are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in oncology, gynecologic oncology or related specialty preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with an interest in oncology encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication and collaborative care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with gynecologic malignancies.
• Obtain medical histories, perform exams, and develop assessment/treatment plans.
• Participate in clinic, inpatient, procedural, surgical and infusion-related activities as needed.
• Manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and other cancer-directed treatments.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, options, and supportive care.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists, social workers and other team members.
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
