Job summary

Duke University’s Duke Cancer Center and Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to augment a physician’s ability to deliver care in gynecologic oncology. The APP will provide outpatient and inpatient services, collaborate with physicians, and assist in procedures, with a Monday–Friday core schedule and flexible hours to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of work experience as NP/PA in Women’s Health and/or Oncology.
• NP: Master's in Nursing; PA: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with gynecologic malignancies and benign gynecologic conditions.
• Obtain patient histories, perform exams, document data; write progress notes.
• Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic-therapeutic procedures.
• Explain necessity, preparation, and effects to the patient.
• Perform/assist with IUD placement/removal and biopsies to aid diagnosis/treatment.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs to develop patient care plans.
• Contribute to teaching students, fellows and residents.
