Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Science for Gynecologic Oncology to lead strategic scientific direction across multiple studies and assets, shaping portfolio-level approaches and data interpretation.

The role emphasizes disease biology, endpoints, and cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment. The candidate will mentor Clinical Scientists, align with operations, regulatory, biostatistics, and medical affairs, and promote standardized practices while

Qualifications

Advanced scientific or healthcare degree preferred with 8+ years of pharmaceutical/clinical drug development experience.
Master's degree (life sciences) with 12+ years of pharmaceutical/clinical development experience is preferred.
Bachelor's degree (life sciences) with 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/clinical drug development is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic Clinical Science leadership across multiple studies, programs, and assets.
Guide interpretation of clinical data to support trends, opportunities, risks, and program implications.
Contribute to protocol development, endpoint selection, and study-design considerations.
Lead efforts to standardize Clinical Science approaches and maintain high-quality deliverables across the portfolio.
Support governance discussions and communicate cross-functional insights to leadership.
