Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Oncology to care for patients on a focused 30-bed unit addressing female-related issues, primarily GYN Oncology. The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality oncology nursing care, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom and pain management, palliative, and hospice support.

Night shifts are required, typically 3-12 hour shifts, with emphasis on patient-centered

Qualifications

• Current RN license required; Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• No prior experience required; <2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and meds.
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document individualized care plans with clear goals.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences.
