Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks an AP or AP/CP board-certified pathologist to participate in Gynecological and/or Genitourinary pathology within an academic setting. Fellowship training is desirable but not required, preferably with a second AP interest.

Responsibilities include GYN/GU sign-out, shared AP call, and non-forensic autopsy coverage (avg <4 autopsies/pathologist/year). Teaching includes 1-on-1/group sign-out, lectures, journal club, and resident supervision.

Qualifications

• AP/CP board-certified pathologist.
• Fellowship training in GYN or GU pathology desirable, not required.
• Academic setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• GYN and/or GU pathology sign out.
• Shared AP call and non-forensic autopsy coverage (average <4 autopsies/pathologist/year).
• 1-on-1 and group sign-out with residents and medical students; teaching duties.
• Didactic lectures, unknown slide conference and supervising residents' presentations.
• Translational research and medical student teaching as needed.
