Job summary

Albany Med Health System in Albany, NY seeks an AP or AP/CP board-certified pathologist to participate in Gynecologic and/or Genitourinary pathology within an academic department. Fellowship training is desirable, ideally with a second AP subspecialty interest.

The role emphasizes mentorship, wellness, and work-life balance for faculty. Responsibilities include sign-out in GYN/GU pathology, shared AP call, and non-forensic autopsy coverage (average fewer than 4 autopsies per year).

Qualifications

• AP/CP board-certified pathologist (required)
• Fellowship training in Gynecologic and/or Genitourinary pathology is desirable, not required
• Academic setting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Sign out GYN and/or GU pathology
• Share AP call and non-forensic autopsy coverage (average <4 autopsies per pathologist per year)
• Engage in teaching with residents and medical students
