Job summary

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. is seeking a Gymnastics Coach to lead and develop participants in our gymnastics program.

You will teach movements, plan age-appropriate classes, and help prepare athletes for competition while upholding our mission and safety standards. Responsibilities include delivering engaging coaching, maintaining a safe environment, attending trainings, and supporting member retention and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• Gymnastics certification or one to two years of gymnastics coaching and teaching preferred.
• Must be willing to obtain gymnastics certification within the timeframe indicated by manager and maintain certificate during course of employment.
• Sound working knowledge of accepted fitness standards and practices including gymnastic techniques.
• Ability to foster positive staff, peers, and program participants.
• CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain authorization to work with children under the Georgia Department of Labor and YMCA guidelines.
• Must be able to pass USA Gymnastics background and maintain USA Gymnastics membership.

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:The Gymnastics Coach is responsible for the instruction of classes, coaching and preparing participants for competition.
