Job summary

The City of Plymouth, MN seeks a part-time Preschool and Youth Gymnastics Instructor to lead engaging, safe programs for children. Training and a curriculum are provided; programs run September through May and take place on Saturdays.

As part of a collaborative recreation team, you will create an inclusive, fun environment, follow established policies, and support participants and staff to deliver quality experiences for all ages.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with youth.
• Must have previous gymnastics or dance experience.
• Must be 16 years of age by employment start date.

• Plan, organize and direct activities for all ages in a recreation setting.

$15.99 - $18.55 Hourly

Job Description:

Primary Objective of Position

Instruct and lead preschool, youth gymnastics programs in an exciting and safe atmosphere. Training is provided prior to program start dates and a curriculum is provided.

Major Areas of Responsibility

Instruct and assist with preschool and youth gymnastics programs in a safe environment.

• Curriculum provided for part-time positions.
• Training provided prior to program start.
• Programs run September through May.
• Programs are held on Saturdays.
• Must be available to work 3 out of 4 Saturdays each month.
• No programs are held on holiday weekends.

Essential Functions:

• Plan, organize and direct activities for all ages in a recreation setting.
• Provide support as needed for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment.
• Work as part of a team to ensure quality programs for all ages.
• Follow staff policies and procedures.
• Ensure all staff and participants follow the established policies and procedures.
• Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience of all participants.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have experience working with youth
• Must have previous gymnastics or dance experience.
• Must be 16 years of age by employment start date.
