Job summary

City of Plymouth is seeking a friendly gymnastics instructor to lead preschool and youth programs in a safe, engaging environment. Training is provided, and a curriculum is supplied to guide activities.

Programs run from September through May, with sessions on Saturdays and a requirement to be available for 3 of 4 Saturdays each month. Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the start date and bring experience working with youth plus gymnastics or dance background.

• Must have previous gymnastics or dance experience.
• Must be 16 years of age by employment start date.

Training is provided prior to program start dates and a curriculum is provided.**Major Areas of Responsibility**Instruct and assist with preschool and youth gymnastics programs in a safe environment.* Curriculum provided for part-time positions.* Training provided prior to program start.* Programs run September through May.* Programs are held on Saturdays.* Must be available to work **3 out of 4 Saturdays each month**.* No programs are held on holiday weekends. Essential Functions:* Plan, organize and direct activities for all ages in a recreation setting.* Provide support as needed for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment.* Work as part of a team to ensure quality programs for all ages.* Follow staff policies and procedures.* Ensure all staff and participants follow the established policies and procedures.* Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience of all participants.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Must have experience working with youth* Must have previous gymnastics or dance experience.* Must be 16 years of age by employment start date.
