Job summary

The Oswegoland Park District in Montgomery, IL is hiring for a year-round Gymnastics program role responsible for organizing and implementing day-to-day activities at the Boulder Point Facility.

Qualifications include Illinois employment rules for minors, plus prior gymnastics experience preferred and a background with children or youth sports; CPR/First Aid certifications are required.

Hours are evenings and weekends, with a pay rate of $17–$19 per hour DOE.

JOB OVERVIEW

This year round position is responsible for the organization and implementation of day-to-day activities in the gymnastics program at our Boulder Point Facility located in Montgomery, IL.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

• Can be under 18 years of age and meet all applicable Illinois employment requirements for minors.
• Previous gymnastics experience preferred, either as a coach or gymnast.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with children or participating in gymnastics, youth sports, recreation, or related activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Basic comprehension of gymnastics skills and techniques.
• Ability to assist with gymnastics instruction and activities under the direction of the Coordinator and/or upper-level coaching staff.
• Ability to follow instructions and implement changes or requests from coordinators and upper-level coaching staff.
• Ability to work appropriately and professionally with children and program participants.
• Understanding of the principles of customer service.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a gymnastics staff team.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, First Aid, and DCFS Certifications, as applicable to the position and age requirements.
• Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the District.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
