Responsibilities

1. Understand the difference between discipline and punishment.
2. Obtain certifications and trainings in a timely manner.
3. Attend and lead all classes.
4. Prepare and distribute report cards after each session.
5. Handle equipment properly and adjust as needed.
6. Instruct principles of sport and maintain a safe environment for participants.
7. Manage children in accordance with YMCA values.
8. Complete administrative work accurately and on time.
9. Communicate clearly verbally.
10. Attend all classes and meetings.
11. Perform equipment maintenance.
12. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with school-age and/or preschool children preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience in basic gymnastics.
• Ability to communicate and direct children in age-appropriate skills.
• Basic understanding of child development for planning developmentally appropriate activities.
