Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old with experience working with children.

Job Responsibilities:

• Must understand the difference between discipline and punishment.
• Must obtain certifications and trainings in a timely manner.
• Attend and lead all classes.
• Prepare and distribute report cards after each session.
• Adjust and properly handle equipment.
• Must be able to instruct the principles of sport.
• Maintain a safe environment for participants.
• Manage children in accordance with YMCA values.
• Complete administrative work accurately and timely.
• Must have clear verbal communication skills.
• Attend all classes and meetings.
• Equipment maintenance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with school-age children and/or preschool-age preferred.
• Knowledge and/or experience of basic gymnastics.
• Able to communicate and direct children in age-appropriate skills involved in class.
• Must have a basic understanding of child development and be able to plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities.
