The Gymnastics Head Coach is responsible for leading and developing a comprehensive high school gymnastics program that emphasizes student-athlete growth, competitive excellence, sportsmanship, and academic success. The Head Coach is expected to foster a positive, inclusive team culture while ensuring compliance with all Hopkins Public Schools, Lake Conference, and Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) policies and regulations.
Education and Experience
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, carry, and move gymnastics equipment throughout practices and competitions. Ability to demonstrate and safely spot gymnastics skills. Requires sustained concentration, effective decision-making, and the ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations. Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work is performed primarily in gymnasium and athletic facility settings with frequent evening practices, competitions, weekend events, and occasional travel. Exposure to noise, physical activity, and varying environmental conditions associated with athletic facilities should be expected.

Stipend Range: $6,509 - $7,506 DOE
