Job summary

Rockford Area Schools Community Education is seeking a Gymnastics Coach to lead the Rockford Rocket Gymnastics Club at Rockford Middle School. This hands-on coaching position focuses on athletes of all ages and abilities and aims to grow a strong community program.

Ideal candidates have gymnastics coaching or competitive gymnastics experience, plus strong organization and communication skills. Flexible day, evening, and weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

• Previous gymnastics coaching and/or competitive gymnastics experience required.
• Experience with recreational and/or competitive gymnastics programs preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work with children, families, coaches, and Community Education staff.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Flexible schedule including daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Coach and provide instruction to gymnasts at various ages and skill levels.
• Communicate with athletes and families regarding schedules, expectations, progress, and program information.
• Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive gymnastics environment.
