Job summary

City of Marietta is seeking an onsite program assistant for the basketball league at Marietta City Schools locations and Custer Park Sports & Fitness Center. You will enforce facility rules, gather schedules and ensure security of equipment.

This seasonal role requires a professional demeanor, ability to pass a background check and drug screen, and the capacity to work with staff, participants and spectators.

Qualifications

• Must be PRE-APPROVED by the Marietta City School System before beginning work.
• Must be familiar with the school facilities and the rules and regulations associated with the use of that facility.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of basketball.
• Knowledge of care and use of equipment and supplies.
• Ability to maintain discipline of a group including crowd control and to control recreation activities.
• Ability to accept responsibility and exercise judgment.
• Ability to interact with the public in an effective and courteous manner.
• Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to pass a physical exam at time of hire.
• Must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check and drug screen at time of hire.

• Work locations include Marietta City Schools locations and Custer Park Sports & Fitness Center.
• Performs other related duties as required.
