Job summary

PureGym US in New York seeks a Gym Manager to lead a team of fitness professionals, deliver exceptional member experiences, and uphold first-class standards across the club. You will report to a Cluster Manager and collaborate with other Gym Managers to drive performance, revenue, and a great workplace environment.

You will recruit Personal Trainers and front-of-house staff, ensure safety and compliance, and maintain high service levels through coaching and hands-on leadership in daily club

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a fitness environment is required.
• Passion for helping people reach their potential and improve wellbeing.
• Strong teamwork and leadership to develop Assistant Gym Manager and staff.
• Ability to recruit Personal Trainers and front-line staff and source new talent.
• Excellent time management, organization and follow-up skills.
• CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Gym Manager who can lead and inspire a team. You will be part of a talented team of Gym Managers and fitness professionals focused on creating an exceptional member experience and first-class standards. You will play a key part in creating a great place to work – and workout – for both your team and members. The Gym Manager will also ensure all policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Responsibilities

• Drive the performance of your gym by investing time in the detail, setting action plans for improvement and always ensuring a safe and legal environment.
• Drive member count and ancillary business revenue to ensure the club is meeting and exceeding their targets.
• Drive Personal Trainer revenue, along with proactively finding new talent to recruit into your site.
• Deliver an excellent member experience in your club through a constant focus on service and standards.
• Walk the floor of the club regularly to evaluate the cleanliness of the facility.
• Manage the team to drive a culture of high performance.
• Drive sales through successful tour execution and lead generation activity.

Reporting into a Cluster Manager, you will be part of a talented team of Gym Managers and fitness professionals focused on creating an exceptional member experience and first-class standards. You will manage a team within your own club but will be expected to build close working relationships with other Gym Managers within your cluster, working together to strengthen performance across the area.

Requirements

• Previous management experience and a passion for fitness and wellbeing.
• A passion for supporting people to reach their full potential.
• A strong team player who will work closely with Assistant Gym Manager to develop them and run the club effectively together.
• Ability to recruit Personal Trainers and Gym Floor Associates and proactively find new ways to bring in new talent.
• Excellent time management, organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills.
• Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

• Pay Transparency: $21.62/hr - $22.66/hr – ($864.80 - $906.40 per week)
