Job summary

PureGym US is seeking an Assistant Gym Manager in New York to help run day-to-day operations and create a positive environment for staff and members. You will support the Gym Manager with member experience, onboarding of new team members and maintaining cleanliness and safety across the gym.

The role requires leadership in fitness or related settings, strong communication, and a personable, energetic attitude. CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability in a fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, energetic, friendly and personable.
• Passionate, intelligent and knowledgeable regarding the fitness industry.
• Ability to successfully obtain CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.

Job Overview

The key function of the Assistant Gym Manager will be to help the Gym Manager run the day-to-day operations of the club. The Assistant Gym Manager will be an active participant of the team and will play a key part in creating a great place to work – and workout – for the team throughout the entire gym & the members of PureGym.
