Retro Fitness in Long Island, NY is seeking a Professional Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming gym environment. The role is hands-on, requiring you to manage the entire facility during your shift with occasional early, late, or overnight hours.

You will be responsible for locker rooms and high-traffic areas, with a focus on details and independent work. Training and development are available, and advancement opportunities exist within the club.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work early mornings, evenings, or overnight shifts.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Prior janitorial/housekeeping experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Keep the gym clean, organized, and member-ready at all times
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, and high-traffic areas throughout your shift
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all flooring areas
• Wipe down equipment and high-touch surfaces during peak hours
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness standards across the entire club
• Restock paper towels, soap, and cleaning supplies
• Complete daily cleaning checklists with consistency and accountability
• Handle light maintenance such as minor repairs or touch-ups
• Identify and address cleanliness or safety issues immediately
