Job summary

Retro Fitness Long Island, NY seeks a Professional Cleaner to keep the gym clean, safe, and guest-ready. You’ll clean locker rooms, restrooms, and high-traffic areas, and be on your feet most of your shift with possible early morning or overnight hours.

This hands-on role rewards reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You’ll maintain standards, complete daily checklists, and have opportunities to advance within the clubs.

Qualifications

• Reliability and showing up on time for every shift.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Willing to clean all areas of the club, including locker rooms and restrooms.
• Able to stay active for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in clean environments.
• Willing to work early mornings, evenings, or overnight shifts.
• Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep the gym clean, organized, and member-ready at all times.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, and high-traffic areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all flooring areas.
• Wipe down equipment and high-touch surfaces during peak hours.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness standards across the club.
• Restock paper towels, soap, and cleaning supplies.
• Complete daily cleaning checklists with consistency and accountability.
• Handle light maintenance such as minor repairs or touch-ups.
• Identify and address cleanliness or safety issues immediately.
