Job summary

City of St. Peters is seeking a reliable Gym Attendant to maintain a clean, safe workout environment and assist with gym activities. You will help with rentals setups and member inquiries, and support fitness staff.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a positive, customer‑service oriented attitude to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including evenings/mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform work functions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the fitness and gymnasiums areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Assist with member inquiries.
• Ensure guests adhere to department and facility policies
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to management.
• Assist fitness instructors and personal trainers with class setups and equipment needs.
• Foster a welcoming and motivating atmosphere for all members.
• Assist with fitness and athletic events as needed.
