Job summary

NorthernBio is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure across Olthoff, Pontaluna, and Portage sites, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity aligned with GxP/GLP standards.

You will configure LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols; manage Cisco Meraki switches, wireless, and Palo Alto firewalls; perform capacity planning, monitoring, and optimization while collaborating with cybersecurity teams to uphold regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 3 years of experience in a network administrator or similar role in a regulated env (GxP/GLP).
• Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing (OSPF/BGP).
• Hands-on with Cisco Meraki switching/wireless and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and ISO27001/NIST controls.
• Certs such as CCNA/CCNP/CMNA/PCNSA/CISSP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, configuring, and managing LAN/WAN across sites.
• Configure routing, VLANs, TCP/IP; manage Meraki and Palo Alto devices.
• Plan capacity and ensure high availability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to implement network security measures.
• Document configurations and changes for audits and compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate upgrades.
