Job summary

Life Sciences Organization is seeking a Lab Computing Engineer to bridge IT and laboratory environments in a regulated setting. You’ll support systems connected to scientific instruments and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include configuring Windows-based environments, coordinating equipment life cycles, and serving as a technical liaison with vendors and field engineers. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in GxP or other regulated environments.
• Strong troubleshooting across IT systems and lab instrumentation.
• Proficient in Windows environments, networking, and remote systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Familiar with lab safety standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for laboratory systems, including computers connected to scientific instruments.
• Coordinate installation, relocation, and decommissioning of lab equipment from an IT perspective.
• Support and maintain Windows-based environments, including security configurations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards through reporting and adherence programs.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for vendors, field engineers, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to system validation efforts and change management processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation (procedures, troubleshooting guides, best practices).
• Track and manage inventory of lab hardware, software, and related assets.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as required.
