Community College of Rhode Island invites applications for part-time non-credit instructors to teach GWO Basic Safety Training courses. Instructors plan and deliver approved curricula, use diverse teaching methods, and motivate students to achieve their educational and employment objectives.
Trainings are scheduled day, evening and weekend hours to meet industry demand. Prior experience or training in wind turbine environments is highly desirable to support CCRI's programs.
The Division of Workforce Partnerships is looking for instructors to teach non-credit, GWO Basic Safety Training courses part-time The instructor plans and implements approved class curriculum and educational programs for the Division of Workforce Partnerships.
The instructor communicates class content utilizing a variety of teaching methods so that learning occurs, skills are developed, and students are motivated to learn and achieve their educational and employment objectives.
Trainings are scheduled in response to employer and industry partner demand and can include day, evening and/or weekend hours. The Division is looking to build a bank of instructors to meet the varied needs of the industry.
GWO BST training shall enable participants to support and care for themselves and others working in the industry by possessing the knowledge and skills of first aid, working at heights, manual handling, fire awareness, sea survival and in case of an emergency, to be able to evacuate, rescue and provide appropriate first aid to casualties.
