• 3+ years of professional sales experience, preferably in home services or related field.
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to build trust and deliver an exceptional experience from first appointment to sale.
• Strong consultative selling skills — ask the right questions, educate homeowners on options, and present solutions.
• Follow-up discipline to pursue every open estimate and opportunity.
• Excellent organization and time management with ability to manage multiple appointments and estimates.
• Interpersonal and communication skills for diverse homeowners.
• Ability to assess needs, explain recommendations, and present pricing clearly and confidently.
• Willingness to network locally and develop referral relationships.
• Learn the technical side of gutter systems and products.
• Strong technology skills; CRM software, tablets, mobile apps, email, and digital estimates.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Growth mindset with potential to move into sales leadership as Northern Illinois expands.

Responsibilities

• Sell gutter services to company-generated leads with a high level of professionalism.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners to generate opportunities.
• Manage estimates, quotes, and CRM data; maintain accurate customer records.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.

The ideal Gutter Sales Consultant candidate will have:

• 3+ years of professional sales experience, preferably in home services, in-home sales, construction, remodeling, or another consultative sales environment.


• customer-first mindset with the ability to build trust quickly and create an exceptional experience from the initial appointment through the final sale.


• Strong consultative selling skills — able to ask the right questions, understand the homeowner’s needs, educate them on their options, and recommend the right solution rather than simply pushing a product.


• A strong understanding that follow-up drives sales and the discipline to consistently follow up on every open estimate and opportunity.


• Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple appointments, estimates, follow-ups, and customer conversations simultaneously.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with a wide range of homeowners.


• The ability to accurately assess customer needs, explain recommendations, and present pricing and options clearly and confidently.


• A high level of personal accountability and the ability to work independently without needing constant direction or supervision.


• A competitive, results-oriented mindset with the motivation to achieve and exceed sales and revenue goals.


• Comfort asking for the business and closing the sale while maintaining a professional, low-pressure customer experience.


• Strong attention to detail when preparing estimates, documenting customer needs, and entering information into company systems.


• The ability and willingness to network locally and develop referral relationships that generate additional business opportunities.


• A willingness to learn the technical side of gutter systems, including gutters, downspouts, gutter guards, drainage considerations, and specialty products.


• Strong technology skills and comfort using CRM software, tablets, mobile applications, email, texting, digital estimates, and other sales technology.


• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for regular travel to customer appointments.


• A desire to grow with the company, take on additional responsibility, and potentially move into sales leadership as our Northern Illinois operation expands.
