Job summary

Century-Arms, Inc. in Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Gunsmith I to provide high-level customer service on firearms and perform repairs and quality checks to ensure safety and performance. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude and meticulous workmanship in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, headspace checks, assembly of complex firearms, and documentation of issues for returns. PPE and safety policies are observed as part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Interact effectively with a variety of people.
• General mechanical ability is required.
• Possess sound problem-solving skills to help facilitate solutions to problems identified during the inspection process.
• Ability to use Excel, Word and Outlook.
• This position requires attention to detail as well as the ability to follow directions/organize and prioritize accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs firearms for internal and external customers.
• Checks headspace on firearms and adjust as necessary.
• Repairs stocks, aligns sights and test fires.
• Assembles firearms of a difficult nature.
• Fabricates simple tooling, tools and fixtures.
• Assists in production prototyping.
• Documents problems on customer returns as required.
• Inspects first piece samples from vendors and document findings.
• Progressively improves upon and maintains acceptable inspection numbers in accordance with Company standards.
• Always stays on task with assigned duties.
• Adheres to all employment policies/safety policies/practices required by law/established by Company.
• Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment directed by the Company at all times.
• Maintains and keeps workstation and department area clean.
• Complete all required paperwork timely and accurately.
• Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment as always directed by Company.
• Immediately report any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervisor
• Maintain respect, courtesy, a positive attitude and professionalism towards all co-workers and the Company.
• Other duties will be assigned, as required.
