Job summary

Crown Family Philanthropies in Chicago seeks a Gun Violence Prevention Program Analyst to support the GVP portfolio through programmatic, team, and grants administration tasks. This role works with the GVP team and trustees to advance grantmaking, fundraising, research, and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly
  • Ability to analyze complex issues with objectivity and critical thinking
  • Experience with grant cycle management, grantmaking analysis, research/writing, and admin support preferred
  • Collaborative role within the Program team
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Meticulous attention to detail in administrative tasks and data entry
  • Curiosity and passion for social impact related to gun violence prevention
  • Capacity for mentorship and training within a family-centered enterprise

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between the Gun Violence Prevention program team and Grants Management to maintain grants data and communicate requirements
  • Support planning and production of materials for grantmaking and strategy meetings, managing deadlines
  • Communicate grant cycle requirements to grantees and applicants and manage expectations
  • Review progress reports and track data dashboards to ensure grant requirements are met
  • Coordinate meeting planning, site visits, and learning opportunities to increase family engagement
  • Provide administrative support for Gun Violence Prevention grantmaking and strategy meetings
  • Assist with research and data analysis for portfolio areas
  • Support Grants Management to ensure high-quality data entry across the Foundation
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication across CFP teams and initiatives
  • Track and report fundraising efforts for Gun Violence Prevention initiatives
