Job summary

Solairus Aviation, Inc. is seeking a full-time Gulfstream G600 Captain to join our Los Angeles-area operation at KVNY. The role requires leadership, adherence to safety, and exceptional operational execution to meet client travel needs.

The successful candidate will hold Gulfstream G600 type rating with extensive PIC time, and be willing to relocate within a 2-hour drive. Evening and on-call coverage may be required as part of a dynamic crewmember team.

Qualifications

• Total flight time must be 3000 hours.
• PIC time at least 1500 hours.
• MEL 1500 hours; MEL PIC 500 hours.
• Gulfstream G600 type rating or comparable aircraft.
• First class medical required.
• Annual ICAO procedures training is mandatory.
• Residence within a 2-hour drive from KVNY or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Gulfstream G600 safely.
• Conduct flights in accordance with FAA regulations and Solairus policies.
• Review aircraft maintenance status before flight.
• Perform thorough pre-flight inspections per Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Assess weather and route for each flight, including airports to be used.
• Ensure accurate completion of all trip paperwork.

Overview

Solairus Aviation is currently searching for a Full-Time Gulfstream G600Captain to join an operation at the KVNYairport. Essential Responsibilities/Duties

• Responsible for safe operation of the Gulfstream G600aircraft.
• Responsible for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with, but not limited to the following items:
  • Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft.
  • The conduct of a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • A complete check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and airports to be used, including alternate airports.
  • Ensure the flight is conducted in accordance with the policies and procedures of Solairus Aviation and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ensure the safety of all passengers, aircraft and crew.
  • Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

• Time in Turbo Jet = 500 hours
• Instrument = 250 hours

Specific Qualifications/Certifications

• Type rated on Gulfstream G600or comparable aircraft
• First class medical required.
• Must be able to work on anon-call basis
• Must be able to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
• Primary residence within a 2 hour drive from KVNYor willing to relocate.

Additional Information

Solairus collects salary range information based on market conditions from multiple industry sources. Solairus crewmembers are paid $50,000 to $500,000 based on geographic area, experience, equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
