Job summary

Solairus is seeking an experienced captain to command a Gulfstream G500, ensuring start-to-finish operational excellence from preflight to trip documentation. You will exercise PIC authority, verify airworthiness, and maintain the highest safety and service standards.

The role requires extensive flight hours, a Gulfstream G500 type rating, and annual ICAO training, with base at KSNA (Santa Ana, CA) and an on-call schedule to support client travel needs.

Qualifications

• 3,000 hours total time required.
• 1,500 hours PIC required.
• 1,500 hours MEL; 500 MEL PIC.
• 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
• 250 hours instrument.
• Current FAA First Class Medical.
• Gulfstream G500 type rating or comparable aircraft.
• Annual ICAO procedures training.
• Primary residence within two-hour drive of KSNA or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Exercise full PIC authority for the safe operation of the G500 in accordance with company policy and all applicable FARs.
• Review aircraft maintenance status and confirm airworthiness prior to each flight.
• Conduct thorough preflight inspections as specified in the AFM.
• Plan and brief weather, NOTAMs, en-route facilities, and departure/destination/alternate airports.
• Safeguard passengers, crew, and aircraft at all times while delivering exceptional service.
• Ensure each flight complies with Solairus procedures and complete all trip paperwork accurately and promptly.
