Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health in Guilford, CT is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide patient care under supervision of a physician/provider. The role supports the care team and contributes to a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and LPN Diploma required.

• Current licensure from CT and/or NY (when necessary).

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care responsibilities as assigned.

• Sets up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.

• May assist and/or perform chaperone duties for procedures as needed.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High School Diploma and LPN Diploma Required.

EXPERIENCE

2 years of medical practice experience preferred.

LICENSURE

Current licensure from the State of Connecticut and/or New York (when necessary).

SPECIAL SKILLS

Ability to assist physicians in minor procedures (where applicable). Excellent, organizational, communication, customer service and teamwork skills required. Ability to multi-task is essential. EMR experience preferred and working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required. CPR certification preferred. Bilingual preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

MMR is required. Varivax (chicken pox vaccine) or evidence of prior chicken pox is required. Hepatitis B (or signed declination) is required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids. Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged.
