Job summary

The Community College of Aurora is seeking Pathways Advisors to deliver proactive academic, career, and financial aid advising. You will support students on Guided Academic Pathways, helping them set goals, navigate curricula, and access transfer opportunities to four-year institutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in student affairs advising and collaboration with faculty.
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing; commitment to equity.

Responsibilities

• Assess academic needs and career goals of Pathways students and advise on credentials or transfer.
• Provide proactive advising, progress monitoring, and timely interventions to promote retention.
• Act as liaison with academic departments and transfer institutions.
• Help students navigate course maps, transfer options, and financial aid basics.
• Engage in career planning conversations and participate in advising trainings.
