Wake County Public School System is seeking a courteous Receptionist to support school operations at a site or central office. You will answer phones, greet visitors, manage incoming/outgoing mail, and assist staff with routine clerical tasks.

Performs general office duties to support the activities of a school or office including receiving telephone calls and greeting visitors, processing incoming and outgoing mail, assisting other staff, responding to requests for information, maintaining and updating records, and preparing documents.

This position operates in a professional office and school environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff students, parents, external agencies, vendors, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force.
