Job summary

Magnolia Hotels Houston is seeking a Housekeeping Room Inspector to ensure guest rooms and public spaces meet cleanliness, safety and service standards. You will inspect rooms, coordinate with the Housekeeping Manager, manage keys and inventories, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities include reporting performance, enforcing safety, and supporting training and departmental processes. Evening/weekend shifts and a collaborative team culture are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior housekeeping experience in rooms is preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assigned sections to ensure cleanliness and safety meeting standards.
• Maintain and uphold company policies and assist in staff development and training.
• Report to Housekeeping Manager on performance and/or behavior of staff.
• Control keys and maintain security of all guest rooms (occupied and unoccupied).
• Enforce safety regulations to provide a safe working environment.
• Communicate with Housekeeping Manager and other departments and guests.
• Follow procedures for reporting maintenance issues and handling lost and found items.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and inventory; assist with inventories of linens and products.
• Help with equipment maintenance and upkeep of housekeeping tools.
• Participate in programs for professional growth and development.
