Job summary

The Partridge Inn, Curio Collection by Hilton in Augusta, GA seeks a Housekeeping Room Inspector to ensure each guestroom meets Hilton standards for cleanliness, condition, and presentation. You will inspect rooms after cleaning, communicate maintenance needs, and support Room Attendants to uphold brand expectations.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance concerns.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the Housekeeping team and other departments.
• Ability to provide clear, professional, and constructive feedback to team members.
• Basic computer and mobile-device skills; experience with HotSOS or similar hotel operations software is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize guestrooms based on operational needs and changing arrival patterns.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays based on hotel occupancy and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cleaned guestrooms and suites to ensure they meet The Partridge Inn and Hilton standards for cleanliness, condition, presentation, and functionality before being released for guest occupancy.
• Complete a thorough inspection of the entire guestroom, including beds and linens, bathrooms, floors, furniture, fixtures, mirrors, windows, balconies when applicable, closets, amenities, lighting, HVAC, televisions, telephones, refrigerators, and other guestroom equipment.
• Ensure beds are properly made, linens are clean and free of stains or damage, towels and amenities are correctly stocked, and the overall room presentation is consistent with hotel standards.
• Check guestrooms for odors, including smoke, mildew, moisture, or other unusual conditions, and immediately report concerns requiring additional attention.
• Identify maintenance deficiencies such as plumbing issues, lighting problems, HVAC concerns, damaged furniture or fixtures, loose outlets, water intrusion, or other conditions that could negatively affect the guest experience.
• Enter and track maintenance and housekeeping requests through HotSOS and communicate urgent concerns directly to the appropriate department.
• Follow up on identified deficiencies to ensure guestrooms are fully ready before being returned to inventory whenever possible.
• Verify that guestrooms are properly secured and that guestroom doors, balcony doors, locks, and safety features are functioning appropriately.
• Ensure Hilton Honors amenities and other required guestroom items are properly placed according to current brand and hotel standards.
• Communicate room status accurately and promptly with the Front Desk and Housekeeping leadership to support efficient room readiness and guest arrivals.
• Assist with prioritizing rooms based on arrivals, early-arrival requests, VIPs, Hilton Honors members, groups, and operational needs.
• Provide immediate, respectful coaching to Room Attendants when deficiencies are identified and clearly communicate expectations for correction.
• Reinspect rooms when necessary to confirm that identified issues have been resolved.
• Recognize strong performance and reinforce positive housekeeping practices.
• Assist Housekeeping leadership with training Room Attendants on cleanliness, presentation, safety, and hotel standards.
• Conduct periodic inspections of stayover rooms, vacant rooms, deep-clean rooms, and other assigned areas.
• Assist with linen, supply, amenity, and housekeeping inventory as needed.
• Report lost-and-found items immediately and follow established hotel procedures for securing and documenting items.
• Maintain awareness of guest privacy and security at all times.
• Respond professionally and promptly when interacting with guests and assist with guest requests whenever possible.
• Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues before they affect the guest experience.
• Assist with cleaning guestrooms or public areas when operational needs require additional support.
• Follow all hotel safety, security, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or hotel leadership.
